  • Optimise downstream processing parameters through scaled-down experimental designs.
  • Prepare and analyse technical and food-grade product samples for development purposes.
  • Generate comprehensive reports based on data analysis, including actionable insights and conclusions.
  • Manage laboratory resources, including maintaining equipment and overseeing material procurement.
  • Utilise advanced data analytics to interpret experimental results and refine processes.
  • Collaborate with scientists to design and troubleshoot experiments and ensure process excellence.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure downstream processing equipment is in optimal condition.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in material chemistry, food technology, or (bio)chemical engineering (HBO level preferred); equivalent experience or MBO-level qualifications considered.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in downstream bio processing, with knowledge of fermentation, laboratory processes, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food-grade production processes and formulation methods.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
