Job
Your main goal as a Food Quality and Quality Specialist, is to ensure Food Safety Management System (FSMS) compliance with BRC Global Standards and retailer Codes of Practice (COPs), by leading site audits, maintaining quality documentation, and continuously improving the company’s food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- FSMS Leadership: Oversee and improve the site’s FSMS to ensure compliance with BRCGS Global Standards, GFSI, IFS, and retailer COPs.
- Audit Management: Lead internal, third-party, and customer audits. Ensure the site is audit-ready daily.
- Team Leadership: Develop and manage the HACCP team, train staff, and drive a culture of food safety across the site.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and update food safety documentation and ensure non-conformities are addressed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in food safety practices and lead root cause analysis for incidents.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Food Technology and Processing, Food Science and Technology, Food Science, Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness Studies, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Engineering, Nutrition Sciences, Animal/Livestock Husbandry and Production, Microbiology, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years in a food safety, quality assurance, or compliance role in a BRC/IFS-certified food manufacturing environment. Experience in pet food/animal feed production is a plus.
- Certifications: HACCP, internal auditing, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, BRC, BRCGS, IFS
- Skills: Leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in English (Dutch is a plus). Driven personality and team-player.

- Salary: Up to €66,000 per year (based on 36 hours) including allowances.
- Work Model: Full-Time, Onsite.
- Work Week: Flexible 36-hour workweek (32 hours discussable) with 25 vacation days.
