R&D Project Manager
Avertim is expanding and looking for experienced R&D Project Managers and Program Managers in the life science industry.
Job
As R&D Project Manager you are responsible for:
Undertaking the full responsibilities for the project initiation, project planning, people management, execution, tracking of timelines, budget, resources and risks.
Define and manage project success criteria & risks and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
Ensuring that R&D department meets the timelines and manage delays, negotiate delivery time and cater efficient information flow between internal and external teams,
Translate scientific strategy into comprehensive cross-functional project plans that are aligned with the broader organizational objectives.
Leading and coordinating teams of multi-disciplinary experts.
Profile
Your background:
A Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering or related discipline is required. An advanced degree (PhD) and/or professional project management certification is preferred.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, team leadership, and/or functional line management in one or more of the major R&D functions is required.
Successful experience managing or leading global and/or virtual teams is preferred, especially if done within a matrix organization.
Demonstrated advanced leadership capabilities are required. This includes resolving conflict; influencing teams and stakeholders; without formal authority; deploying analytical and problem-solving skills; team facilitation; and advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated advanced technical capabilities are required, including Microsoft Project, Project Scheduling, Critical Path Analysis, Scenario Planning, Risk Management, Process Mapping, and Team Facilitation.
Fluent in English and Dutch
