For our client Unilever Research & Development we are searching for a Junior laboratory technician.

As Junior Laboratory technician you will prepare and perform specific laboratory analysis on food samples, reporting of the results and manage and co-ordinate the storage and administration of those samples.

Your responsibilities are:

• Collect samples from different storage locations, ensure proper administration, and prepare them for analysis;
• If needed, you run chemical analyses like salt and acidity measurements;
• Perform physical analysis on the products like viscosity or density;
• Proper reporting of the results and hand over to the project owner;
• Manage the stored shelf-life sample – location, codes, expiry date and time for analysis;
• Support SOP’s and WI.

Profile

The ideal candidate has an MBO degree in food or chemical analysis with 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience (i.e. salt/acidity measurements, viscosity and density). You have experience with sample management and relevant software like Excel and LIMS.
As you will working in a team of developers responsible for delivering innovations to the European market and support in trouble shooting, priorities can change easily. Hence, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and pro-active.

Benefits

Salary: 3100-3500 euro gross/month, depending on experience
