(Senior) Technician Genetics (ref. 2350)

Job

•    Conducting, analyzing, and reporting microbial screening & strain development, preferably with yeast and/or fungi and/or bacteria. •    Be able to understand technical issues and support the strain development scientist to optimize screening and strain development processes and protocols to meet project goals and timelines. •    Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues from strain development, fermentation, down-stream processes, application and analysis. •    Processing and interpretation of experimental data, write experimental reports (English), and in-house presenting of technical data.

Profile

•    BSc degree in the field of Life Science & Technology such as, Genetics, Strain development Microbiology, Biotechnology. •    Experience with microbial screening, strain development (cloning, transformation, gene editing and CSI) and affinity for microbiological work in a lab environment. •    Curiousity, pragmatism and resilience and bring your scientific expertise into the development of new technologies for strain development. •    Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
