Announcement of the winners of the TOPX Females to Follow Awards 2022

On Thursday (22 Sept. 2022) the winners of the first TOPX Females to Follow Awards were announced at Theater De Lievekamp in Oss during TOPX Summit 2022!

The TOPX Females to Follow awards are an initiative of TOPX Network and Hyphen Projects. The aim of this award is to empower promising and ambitious women in Life Sciences, and to honour inspirational females with remarkable careers, by giving them visibility and celebrating their achievements. Ánd by doing so, to inspire the next generation of women and follow in their footsteps.

With in total 4 different categories, 37 women were nominated to win this prestigious award. Three finalists per category were chosen based on the votes. During the award ceremony at TOPX Summit, the awards were handed out by Nicolien Sauerbreij, the Olympic gold snowboard winner in Vancouver 2010. The winners of the TOPX Females to Follow Awards 2022 are:

Rising star – ENTREPRENEURSHIP
• Agnieszka Wegrzyn, Co-Founder & CSTO, EV Biotech

Guiding stars
• Anke-Hilse Maitland van der Zee, Professor at Amsterdam UMC
• Laura Heitman, Professor at Leiden University
• Martine van Vugt, SVP Corporate Strategy and Planning at Genmab
